Here at Pacific Powdercoaters in Port Macquarie, we use the process of powder coating to deliver durable, long-lasting finishes across a wide range of projects.
From outdoor furniture and car parts to balustrades, privacy screens, and pool fencing, powder coating provides superior protection against chipping, scratching, weather, and corrosion.
This advanced technique uses an electric charge to bond powder to metal surfaces, which is then baked at 180-200°C to create a tough, vibrant finish. Trusted for its longevity and resistance, powder coating is the perfect solution for enhancing and preserving metal objects for up to 15-20 years.

Unlike a regular paint process, powder coating relies on an electric charge to ensure the powder sticks to a surface, rather than any kind of adhesive. We use a specially designed spray gun which ionizes the powder as it’s being applied, allowing it to naturally stick to the nearest surface.
After the product has been coated, it is baked at around 180 to 200 degrees Celsius for 15-20 minutes, depending on the metal thickness.
Powder coating provides better performance than wet paint because of the thermal bonding it undergoes during curing, and because it can be applied in much thicker layers. In addition to its physical toughness, powder coating provides superior colour retention.
Powder Coating lasts for 15-20 years when maintained properly. Its resistance to weather, corrosion and chemicals makes for a more durable finish than paint or other liquid coatings.
Clean your powder coated surface every 3-6 months by removing any loose deposits with a wet sponge, then use a soft, non-abrasive brush or cloth to remove dust, salt and other deposits and then rinse off with clean, fresh water.
Don’t use any strong solvents, especially anything that recommends the use of gloves as this is an indication that the detergent is too harsh for cleaning.
From switchboards to outdoor furnishings, car parts (rims, trays, canopies) privacy screens, balustrades, pool fencing and more, just let us know what you need and we’ll transform it for you.
Our oven is a very large 6.5 metres by 2.4 metres, so we are capable of working with a wide range of different sized items.
Powder coating works best on the original metal surface so we recommend sandblasting first.
